Thanksgiving....on a Sunday? March 24th 1984

Sarah and I celebrated Thanksgiving today....on a Sunday!?!? Seems so anti-American!

We had a good time though. We went to Sarah's co-workers house and there were about 8 people there (and some kids). I'll copy and paste the letter I wrote about it (and them) so you can read all about it:

Dear Mr. Vernon,
We accept the fact that we had to sacrifice a whole Sunday at Thanksgiving for whatever it was we did wrong. What we did WAS wrong, but we think you're crazy to make us write an essay telling you who we think we spent Thanksgiving with. You see us as you want to see us....In the simplest terms and the most convenient definitions. But we found out that each one of us is....a brian, and an athlete, and a basket case....a princess, and a criminal.
Does that answer your question?

Sincerely yours,

The Breakfast Club

  2. I'm confused. Why is Thanksgiving anti-American? Who is Mr. Vernon?
